consider participating as an ArtWise teaching assistant!

ArtWise is always looking for dedicated parent-volunteers to assist our teachers in the classroom.

What do I have to do as a Teaching Assistant?

• Commit to assisting for the entire term of your child’s enrollment in the ArtWise class (i.e., if the class is six weeks long, you must assist for all six classes).
• Be present in the classroom for the entire 75 minute class.
• Assist the teacher in handing out and collecting art materials at the beginning and end of each class as well as other classroom tasks as needed.
• Arrive ten minutes before the beginning of the class to remove the previous week’s art and remain at least ten minutes after the class has ended to hang the current week’s art.
• All assistants must be cleared though our office. If you are interested, please give us a call.

What are the benefits of becoming a Teaching Assistant?

• Your child’s tuition is FREE for each term you assist!
• Hands-on, classroom experience working with elementary-aged school children.
• Helping to bring art education back into schools.
• Helping children learn critical academic skills.

NOTE: Your child’s tuition will be waived provided you attend each class during the term. Should you be absent from a class, you will be charged tuition for each class you miss, but please note that ArtWise strongly discourages absences by Teaching Assistants.
